My passion for nutrition began 8 years ago when I met Harriet Schwartz, pictured to the left. Harriet & I had just began working together after I left my career on the "doorsteps" of University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. You see, I was loosing my health to my career. Can anyone relate to this? My health was failing, I developed Hashimoto's Disease and was extremely anemic. I was trying to get my health "on track" while working 60 - 70 hour weeks. My health was getting worse and I wasn't getting any better. I now know, once you have an autoimmune disease, like Hashimoto's, your chance of developing a second autoimmune disease greatly increases, then leads to cancer.
So, I left my career at UPMC and started working for Robinson Management, Inc. This is where Harriet, age 72 at the time, introduced me to Juice Plus, FARM FRESH NUTRITION with over 30 Whole fruits, veggies, berries and grains in a capsule or gummy. WHOLE food that has been vine ripened and picked at the peak of ripeness to ensure that the produce contains the most nutrients. The produce is Non-GMO, gluten free, preservative free , pesticide free and kosher.
I can say with complete confidence that Juice Plus saved my life! My Hashimoto genes have been "turned off" and I am healthier now than I was in my 20's. My passion is to share my story and other stories that point people to the power of nutrition. I want to give back the quality of life that has robbed so many people .
Harriet has recently retired at age 79 and still swims, golfs, skis, walks and leads a very active life every day. We continue to teach the power of nutrition during our "free" time to those we come in contact. Going to Health Fairs and educational talks is the highlight of our months.
